Shannon Dussault and I, Ryan Redimarker are the proud owners of these beautiful dogs. Our puppies are family raised in our home and given much love and affection. Our home is located in Harrodsburg, Kentucky USA (previously Biddeford, Maine) with our three boys Philip, Chandler and Gage. Our love for the breed was started in August 2003 when we purchased our first two Cavaliers, Lucy, a Blenheim, and Copper, a Ruby,.
We initially started with our first dog, Molly, a Golden Retriever, whom we bought shortly after we moved into our new home in 1999. Molly produced four beautiful litters that were absolute fun to raise and enjoy. We even had one litter with her daughter, Reggie, in 2003. Molly has since been retired and we found Reggie a good home nearby. We enjoyed the Retrievers so much we wanted to continue with a smaller breed which led us to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We found their traits to be much like the Golden Retrievers.
After extensive research and careful selection we found Copper and Lucy. Beautifully marked and well mannered they made it very easy to fall in love with this breed.
We started showing Copper and Lucy in Conformation in May 2004. In just his second show Copper, at eleven months old, won Best of Winners. The only dog he lost to was already a champion! And he was still in the puppy class! We knew we had something. Our first year of Conformation was great fun. Our two older boys showed Copper and Lucy in Junior Showmanship, showing great promise for the future.
We added to our stock with Jamacia, a black/tan, Heidi, a Tri,and Hannah, our Ruby Princess, Truax, a Tri. We have converted all of our adult stock to AKC registrations, our males are DNA certified, and all our puppies are AKC registered. We have kepy many of our own puppies as they meet the standards of AKC.
Our 2005 show season resulted in Jamaica scoring her first point in just her second show by winning Winner's Bitch. We are very excited about our dogs and their potential. We have not shown as we have relocated to a new state but hope to be settled and working on handling by the 2009-2010 shows.
We hope to do our share for this breed by improving the lines of the dogs we have. Take a look for yourself.
